About

Well hello friends! So nice of you to drop by. In case we have never met before (I do hope that changes soon), I thought I would share a little bit about myself and why I am on this path to provide you with soul-nourishing foods.

It all started a few years back while I was still in college and residing in the Wendell Berry House.... an honor house devoted to promoting local/sustainable foods in the community. Prior to this time, I had really never done much cooking. We were so busy growing up that most of our meals were either on the go, or out of a box. Even with this lifestyle, my parents still instilled in me a passion for maintaining a healthy body, mind and spirit.  As I entered college, I discovered a whole new world in cooking. This is where my true passion for cooking healthy, nutritious meals developed. As I began to take more of an interest in wholesome cooking, I noticed a change in the way I felt. My mind was sharper, my skin was clearer and I felt much more energized.

My intention here is to provide you with recipes that include only ingredients in their purest forms. By eating seasonal, local and non-processed foods, we can provide our bodies with the nutrients they so desire. If you do so, your pallet, your wallet, your body and our dear planet will thank you.

If you have any questions, suggestions, frustrations, or would simply like to learn more, please feel free to contact me. I would love to hear from you!

UPDATE: I just enrolled at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to become a holistic health counselor! I will be starting courses this July. I am very excited for this next chapter in my life, and looking forward to where this will lead me next. Starting in November, I will begin taking on clients as part of my holistic health counseling training. If you are interested in learning more about this program, or would like to work with me to improve your health and well-being, please feel free to contact me: simplydelectablefood@gmail.com
